Bio

Mark Driscoll was most recently the Senior Art Director / Associate Creative Director at The Glover Park Group where he worked on multi-media advertising campaigns for a broad spectrum of clients. While at The Glover Park Group, Mark created and produced award-winning corporate and advocacy campaigns for Verizon, Pfizer, Visa, AMD, Microsoft, the United Federation of Teachers and De Beers among many others. He currently has a campaign for Verizon Wireless that is running in print, television and online media near you!

Prior to joining the Glover Park Group, Mark worked for a number of large and small agencies in New York, Frankfurt and London, including Saatchi & Saatchi, Bates USA, Grey Advertising and M&C Saatchi, where he produced broadcast, print and online advertising for clients such as British Airways, General Mills, 3M, AIG, American General, Mitsubishi, Miller Beer, Avis, Panasonic and Fuji Film.

Recently, Mark earned a Master’s Degree in Design from Parsons School of Design. His Master’s program was focused on new media and digital technology as applied to web-based communications, interactive television and mobile devices. Since achieving this degree, Mark has designed and produced many websites ranging from full retail to corporate to landing pages and microsites. He has also designed and produced many Flash and rich-media ads for a broad range of clients.

Mark graduated from Pomona College with a BA in Fine Art, attended the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena and received an MFA from Parsons School of Design in 2005.

Since 1990, Mark has been involved with socially-responsible companies that give back to the communities within which they’re doing business. First, he was a partner in The Organic Coffee Company, which was active early on in the fair trade and socially-responsible movement, building schools and libraries in Central America and supporting organic coffee farmers around the world. After The Organic Coffee Company was sold to Allegro in 1995, Mark helped launch Jim’s Organic Coffee Company, which is successfully operating and supporting organic growers and their communities worldwide.

Currently, Mark is a part-owner and the Marketing Director of Ruff & Cut, a socially-responsible jewelry-designing, manufacturing and marketing firm (ruffandcut.com). Ruff & Cut employs local workers in Sierra Leone and sub-Sahara Africa and has built schools, orphanages and job-training centers throughout Sierra Leone.
